Pinched or trapped nerves

Many patients come to our clinic, believing that they have a 'trapped' or 'pinched' nerve in their neck or low back.

Nerve damage or irritation will often cause pain, numbness, tingling, pins and needles or muscular weakness. Nerve irritation in the neck often leads to symptoms in the shoulders, arms or hands. Similar problems in the low back can cause numbness and tingling down the legs and into the feet.

But are the nerves really trapped?

It really can sometimes feel like something is really being pinched!

Nerves can be compressed in conditions such as disc injuries or arthritis or irritated by inflammation.

"Trapped nerve" is really a lay or common term and is not a diagnosis, our aim is to find out what is compressing or irritating the nerve in order for you to receive the appropriate treatment.

In most cases chiropractic care is the solution.
